Fun – Google Wave

I wish I was awesome enough to work on this team: http://sites.google.com/a/pressatgoogle.com/googlewave/home. The demo on Chrome is another reminder how Google will eventually control the completely end-to-end internet experience.

It Shipped!

This is a worthy subject of my first blog post in a long while. :)

Update: the Pegaus arrived today, which was really neat.  I can say I was really surprised to see that the matte display does not have the shiny black bevel rim around the display like the glossy display. So, the picture they show on the apple store for the unibody 17″ can be misleading, if you choose the anti-glare display.

Instead, it’s a matte silver bevel, the same color as the rest of the computer except for a black rubber-y rim that surrounds the entire screen.  That part is a bit …. interesting.  I’m not sure I actually like it.  But, then again, maybe it will grow on me.

I Never Update

This post is for Matt Derby, who says I never update.  I don’t.  It’ll always be the dream, though.

McKenzie/Phelps Wedding

Aaron and KathyThis past weekend was Wedding #1 in my Two Weeks Two Weddings extravaganza. Tim and Robin were married on 3rd November, 2007 at the Elkridge Furnace Inn in Maryland. Pictures can be found here.

Aaron was best man — his speech was, shall we say, ‘short and sweet.’ The Inn was pretty nice, and I’ll have to say it was really awesome that the weather cooperated since this was (unknown to me!) an outdoor wedding! We stayed at the BWI Hilton, which was a nice hotel. An extra plus was that one of the channels on the TV was ESPN HD. This amused me greatly, as College Gameday was at Oregon and I swear you could see every bead of fog in the air.

Oh, right the wedding. :) It was really nice. Congratulations Tim and Robin!

Wow, an Update

I just wanted to write something to indicate that I’m still alive. I just don’t have that much to blog about because … someone else is already blogging about it! I don’t want to regurgitate info over and over and over.

I’ve also given up on RSS feeds because I have my own live (human) versions (at both work and home) that pepper me with interesting information so I never even have to read the internet-tubes anymore. I love it! Let’s not forget the lost art of conversation in this day and age.
