Wedding Dress Located!

I feel like I am having a very productive weekend in terms of wedding planning. This morning I located and purchased a wedding dress with the help of my friend Becky. Although I had found the dress I really liked by the 4th one I tried on, she made me try on 5 more just to make sure.  We were at West Main Bridal and Couture, which is a cute little boutique on the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, VA. I had heard some great recommendations on the staff and service there.  I did make an appointment, but I think I may have gotten the new girl. She did try her best, though, so I can’t fault her for that.  Did you know they prefer you try on the wedding dresses by having them go over your head rather than stepping into them?

One of my criteria for getting a dress was to “make me taller” and Becky informed me that it may be too much to ask of a simple garment. Heh. I am very excited by the one I picked out! Becky said it was very “Kathy” and that is a good thing because … well … I’m Kathy!
