Save the Date – Designed and Sent

This weekend Aaron and I worked on our save-the-date. Since we’re both geeks, we thought it would be very fun to have a sort of 8-bit (pixel-y) theme.  We also sent the save-the-date by email to save trees!

Save the Date for Kathy and Aaron

In case you couldn’t figure it out, I’m the iMac and Aaron is the tower-PC. These are the two computers we owned when we met each other back at U.Va.

Hey you geeks ! Nice picture, very unusual for a Wedding’s card, but sure funny.
Doumo arigatou gozaimasu for sending me an invitation. I’ll do everything humanly possible to be there, that will finally be an occasion for me to see you all after so many years. This might cut off a few lectures… but I’ll do my best not to anger to many teachers. ;-)

    - I’d be delighted to meet Kathy, after reading and hearing her name for a long time now.
    - Which one ?!? :-D
    - Well, huh… the iMac ? ;-)
    - Ah, yes. :-)

P.-S. How many Kathy’s in the family then ?!? :-D
    Let’s keep in touch.

Don’t worry. We’ll be sending out more ‘traditional’ invitations as well. You’re right, though, I am the iMac! :)

I love this save-the-date, it is so cute! Did you do the artwork, Kathy? I am really looking forward to this wedding. It may be the first big thing Tom and I get to go to post baby. Are you staying in Richmond some nights lately? If so, you’ve got to come hang out with us, I’d be happy to cook you dinner :-)

I did! Aaron and I worked on it together — well, he did the gradient on the sun-burst behind the heart. I am in Richmond nowadays. Finally gave up on the commute and moved into an apt in Short Pump (although Aaron is still in Charlottesville). Will be happy to stop by when work is less crazy!
